Alliance Technologies Named 'IT Service Provider of the Year' Through the Technology Association of Iowa

Largest Technology Event of its Kind in Iowa, Prometheus Awards Annual Event Recognizes Best and Brightest of Iowa-based IT Organizations



March 6, 2008 - (Des Moines, Iowa) – Alliance Technologies, a full-service information technology solutions firm, has been named ‘IT Service Provider of the Year’ at the Technology Association of Iowa’s annual Prometheus Awards event. The winning companies were announced in a ceremony at Meadows Conference Center in Altoona, Iowa. The event was attended by over 500 business leaders from throughout the state and is known as the largest IT event of its kind in Iowa. Alliance Technologies was also a finalist for Software Company of the Year and former Alliance CEO, Jim Brandl, was a finalist for CEO of the Year.

Mike Lang, President and CEO of Alliance Technologies, states, “We are honored to be recognized as the IT Service Provider of the Year. There were many outstanding candidates for this award and to be up there at the top is a testament to our employees and their dedication to making Alliance Technologies the premier information technology firm in the state of Iowa.

“Our 2008 awards showcase the individuals and companies behind the exciting growth of Iowa’s technology sector,” said Leann Jacobson, president of the Technology Association of Iowa. “Their accomplishments contribute significantly to our state’s positive impact on the global economy.”

Winners were selected by Steve Carter, Director, Iowa State University Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship; Paul Juffer, Partner, LWBJ; Curt Nelson, CEO, Entrepreneurial Development Center; Steve Ringlee, Managing Partner, Cimarron Capital Partners; Eugene Wallingford, head of University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Computer Science; Pamela York, Executive Director, University of Iowa Research Foundation; and Jamie Zanios, Director, Northern Iowa Area Community College, John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.
